I am Anthony Bevington MSc, an advanced personal trainer and qualified nutritional advisor based in Brighton and Hove. I help people build strength, improve body composition, and feel confident training again through structured, supportive coaching that fits real life.
With over 20 years of personal training experience, I work with people who want to feel capable in their bodies, without feeling punished by exercise. Many clients come to me after periods of inconsistency, previous injuries, or uncertainty about what they should be doing. My role is to remove that uncertainty and guide you forward safely and consistently.
I hold a Master of Science degree from the University of Sussex and I am fully qualified and insured. This depth of education and real world coaching experience allows me to deliver training that is both effective and appropriate for where you are right now.
I work with clients across Brighton and Hove, offering both gym based and outdoor sessions.
A calm and effective approach to personal training
Training does not need to be extreme to be effective, and it does not need to take over your life. I focus on clear structure, sensible progression, and efficient sessions that deliver results without spending endless hours in the gym.
Clients value training that feels safe and purposeful, clear guidance and accountability, sessions that fit around work and family life, and steady progress they can feel in their strength, movement, and confidence.
This approach works particularly well for people who want lasting results rather than short bursts of motivation.
Respectful and supportive coaching
I do not judge or criticise anyone for their current level of fitness or strength. Every person has their own background and experiences, and everyone deserves to feel respected and supported.
That is why every client begins with a free introductory consultation. This gives us time to discuss your goals, any concerns you may have, and how training can fit comfortably into your life.
Continued professional development
I regularly engage in continued professional development to keep my knowledge and skills current. I complete a minimum of 10 days of further education each year and remain fully certified and insured.
Through ongoing education, I am experienced in training women through pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. I am also qualified to accept GP referrals and to work safely with older adults.
Over the past two decades, I have personally invested more than £30,000 in my own coaching and mentoring across strength training, movement, running, and health. Learning from experienced coaches has shown me how much time, frustration, and trial and error expert guidance can save, and this directly benefits my clients.
Focused training that fits real life
Many clients lead busy lives, which is why I specialise in achieving results with two structured training sessions of 45 minutes per week. When sessions are designed properly, there is no need for longer training times.
This makes training more enjoyable, more efficient, and easier to maintain consistently alongside work and family commitments.
Professional standards
I am a member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity in the UK, which ensures I meet recognised professional standards within the fitness industry.
I am also qualified to meet US professional standards through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, providing further reassurance that your training is guided by best practice.
Ready to take the next step
If you are thinking about getting back into training and would like some guidance, you are very welcome to book a free introductory consultation. This is a relaxed conversation that usually lasts around 30 to 40 minutes, where we can talk through your goals, answer questions, and see whether this approach feels right for you.
There is no pressure to commit and no obligation to continue. If you decide to move forward, we will take things step by step in a way that fits your life.
